Drop Leaf Table that OOZES Rustic Charm

Once upon a time there was a gorgeous drop leaf table, that with time lost its’ charm. It sat in a garage and collected dust for years, while sadly it became forgotten… till one day I came across it, and vowed to bring back its’ loveliness. <3

This drop leaf table now oozes rustic charm, and roars practicality! With gate leg extending leaves and tidy drawers at BOTH ends, you can transform a dinner for two into a dinner for the family, and/or accommodate gatherings in no time. A versatile piece that would be a lovely accent and/or dining table in your home or cottage! <3

My drop leaf transformation to drop dead gorgeous went like this:

• Cleaned piece thoroughly with TSP and water, and removed hardware
• Applied 2 coats of Country Chic Paint’s ‘All-In-One Decor Paint’ in their new limited edition colour ‘Fairy Ring’ to the top and body ~ a charming beige colour with slight green undertones
• Applied 2 coats of Country Chic Paint’s ‘All-In-One Decor Paint’ in the colour ‘Vanilla Frosting’ to the drawers ~ PSSST… there is a drawer on EACH side of this table! <3
• Highly distressed areas for an oozing shabby chic effect with sanding block
• Reapplied hardware, and installed new drawer pulls
• Applied 1 coat of Country Chic Paint’s ‘Natural Wax’ to the entire piece ~ for a protective and professional finish
