You know that feeling when you discover something that excites you to your core?! That feeling where enthusiasm takes over, and you literally lose your wits?! Well, that’s exactly what happened to me when I found this adorable lil’ half moon table at my local thrift store for a whopping $7! πŸ˜€

HalfMoon-SOLD

This lil’ piece turned me into such a half wit, that I got so ahead of myself I completely forgot to take a before pic… but here’s the thing β€” I’m an honest gal, and I couldn’t be more honest in telling you that this lil’ piece might have been the saddest lil’ thing I’ve ever stumbled across. πŸ˜’

Although given up by someone else, this wobbly legged, beaten up, discarded and forgotten, sad lil’ vintage piece, is now once again happy and beautiful. <3

So how did I transform sad to happy?  Well… my enthusiasm certainly made this 6-step process super easy:

  • Step 1: Tightened up the wobbly legs, and filled the slightly damaged wood
  • Step 2: Lightly sanded down the entire piece
  • Step 3: Stained and varnished the top shelf
  • Step 4: Applied two coats of Country Chic Paint’s β€œAll-in-One Decor Paint” in the colour “Bee’s Knees”
  • Step 5: Lightly distressed with sanding block
  • Step 6: Applied Country Chic Paint’s “Natural Wax”

“May the sun bring you new energy by day, may the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being. May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life.”

I hope you visit again! My #farmlifebestlife awaits more simple living, generous loving and constant learning. <3

    1. Isn’t it though?! You can’t imagine how many times in the past week since I picked this lil’ piece up I’ve said the words “Isn’t it cute?!” to my hubby! <3

    1. Thank you Elaine! If only I could capture it’s full beauty in my pics! The upcycling is the EASY part… photography not so much! πŸ˜‰ It truly is the most adorable lil’ vintage piece I’ve found yet! <3
