My word is this a solid heavy piece! When my daughter and I pulled up to pick it up… and gave it a little weight check, I thought… “OK… if Jenn doesn’t disown me as her Mama now, she never will!” My Jenn ain’t a fan of lifting, carrying, and moving furniture with me… but the reality is that my boys are rarely available to help… so if I want it done, it’s up to us two chickadees. This one is by far the heaviest piece we’ve lifted to date. Bend your knees, and show em what you’re made of ladies! 💪🏻

My Fancy Like Hepplewhite transformation process:
- Removed original Hepplewhite pulls and hinges ~ a necessary step for a cared-for transformation
- Repaired veneer damage ~ nothing wood filler can’t fix
- Lightly sanded down body, and stripped top and 3 drawers ~ to prepare for product adhesion
- Thoroughly vacuumed and washed piece ~ certainly required before transforming preloved furniture
- Applied 2 coats of COUNTRY CHIC PAINT in the colour ‘Peacoat’ to the body ~ a deep navy that easily compliments any space
- Applied 2 coats of COUNTRY CHIC PAINT in the colour ‘Peachy Keen’ to interior cupboard ~ a retro, peachy clay colour
- Sanded down for a buttery smooth and slightly distressed finish ~ for the farmhouse chic look I adore and always strive for
- Conditioned, stained and varnished top, and top 3 drawers (colour Varathane ‘Tuscan’) ~ for a two-toned transformation
- Applied Country Chic Paint NATURAL WAX ~ which I find eases and tones down the application of dark wax
- Applied Country Chic Paint ANTIQUING WAX ~ to accentuate the charm, and add some aging depth
- Polished and reinstalled Hepplewhite pulls and hinges ~ not too much polish, but just the right amount
- Decoupaged drawer-sides with Re-Design with Prima’s BOTANICAL IMPRINT TISSUE PAPER ~ a lovely pattern that I felt paired so nicely with this transformation

Show stopper indeed she is! Transformed in a deep-dark navy blue, that almost looks black in some lighting! What a perfect TV console or front-foyer statement piece she will make! She comes with storage for days, and a weight that will settle like a tonne of love in your home or cottage till the end of time! Come get er’! She’s got your name written all over her!
